The Law Office of Jonathan Bender, P.C. works with emerging high technology
companies as well as companies new to iBusiness and the web.
The firm
provides counseling on a variety of internet-related areas including intellectual
property, high-tech employment issues, and administrative law matters,
such as those involving the Federal Trade Commission. The firm also litigates
as necessary, focusing on issues such as domain name litigation, online
defamation, and employment disputes.
JONATHAN BENDER
Jonathan Bender holds a J.D. with honors from the Georgetown University
Law Center. He also holds an M.P.A. in science & technology policy
from Columbia University and a B.A. with distinction from the University
of Pennsylvania. Before founding the Law Office of Jonathan Bender, P.C.,
Mr. Bender practiced law at Hogan & Hartson L.L.P. in Washington, D.C.
He has also practiced law at Spriggs & Hollingsworth.
Mr. Bender
has experience in a variety of areas at the intersection of law and technology,
and has litigated in both federal and state courts.
Before
entering the private practice of law, Mr. Bender served on the professional
staff of the Carnegie Commission on Science, Technology, and Government,
where he was lead staff member to the regulatory subgroup of the Commission's
Task Force on Science and Technology in Judicial and Regulatory Decisionmaking.
Mr. Bender
has given numerous speeches and briefings to legal and other audiences
including the U.S. Congress.
He is also
the author of several published articles.
Mr. Bender
is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and New York.
